- If the tool says processing happens "in your browser" or "on your device" and "no uploads," that's the private kind.
- If it talks about "we delete your file after X minutes," that means your file was uploaded in the first place.
- If a tool still works with your internet briefly disconnected after the page loads, it's running locally.
